“I am so thankful for Dr. Avirett and her practice. Dr. Avirett has seen all three of my children (and, if we had more kids, she would probably see them too!). Although my youngest daughter was nervous about her appointment, Dr. Avirett instantly made her feel comfortable. Dr. Avirett remembered what my daughter’s favorite movie was (I told her in our first parent meeting), and once Dr. Avirett brought it up (and started singing the theme song!) in the lobby, my daughter was won over. All of my kids have had fun during the testing process and genuinely enjoy going. The reports that Dr. Avirett provides after the evaluation are always thorough and informative. I have left each evaluation with a better understanding of my child.

We took our son for an evaluation at Dr. Avirett’s office. The scheduling and paperwork process was smooth and painless. We have had previous evaluations with other professionals but have always left feeling rushed or like our concerns were never really addressed. That was not the case with Dr. Avirett. From first meeting, we felt like she truly listened and was able to piece together puzzle pieces we had not previously thought about. Although my son is not easy to please, he really enjoyed the testing appointments. Now when we pass Dr. Avirett’s office, he asks when he can go back! At the end of the process, when we reviewed the results, Dr. Avirett was able to describe our son perfectly. As I read through the report she gave us, I kept thinking, “Yep, that’s him!” In addition to understanding our situation, she gave us answers and a clear direction of how to help him at home and at school. She helped us coordinate with our pediatrician, and our son’s school, to ensure he had proper supports in place across settings.
